- If you are a teacher or student and have created a new TechSmart account by signing in with a SSO provider for the first time and you want to use use this SSO provider to sign in to a different account, such as an old TechSmart account, then you will need to have your TechSmart account unlinked from the SSO provider so that you can link the correct TechSmart account.
- eg. A student with an existing TechSmart account (from a previous class) hasn't linked their account. So at the start of the next class they Clever to sign in. Since it is the first time they have used Clever to sign in to TechSmart, a new account is created. Then the student realizes it is a new account and wants to use their old account. IN this case you will need to ask TechSmart to unlink the Clever accounts from the new TechSmart account so that the Clever account can be linked to the old TechSmart account.
- If you are a teacher or student that has transferred to a new district that has TechSmart as well and you want to keep your old TechSmart account and use the new SSO provider at your new district, then you will need to have your TechSmart account unlinked.
- eg. You are moving from District A to District B and at District A you used Clever to sign in to TechSmart. At District B they also have Clever and you want to use Clever to sign in to your old account. In this case you will need to ask TechSmart to unlink the Clever account from your TechSmart account so that you can link the Clever account from District B.
Currently there is not functionality in the TechSmart Platform to allow a user to unlink a selected SSO provider from their TechSmart account. If needed please contact TechSmart Support and if you are a student please have your teacher contact TechSmart Support.
