Editing a student's code over Zoom

  1. The student would need to share her/his screen.
  2. Select Zoom's View Options dropdown menu from the top center of the window.
  3. You can select Annotate to draw over the student's screen.  It's important to note that this will not be permanent on the student's project code.  If you'd like to keep it for reference later, you can take a screenshot (Shift + Command + 4 for Mac or Control + Alt + Windows symbol) of the annotated code.
  4. If you'd like to be able to edit the student's code directly, you would need to Request Remote Control access to the student's screen from the same View Options menu.  The student would need to approve granting access after you've requested it.  The student may also need to allow Zoom to control her/his computer:
